Σε ένα μόνο ράλι, στη Νέα Ζηλανδία το 1979, τέσσερα αυτοκίνητά της είχαν τερματίσει στις αντίστοιχες θέσεις, ένα ρεκόρ που συνέβη μόνο μια φορά της ιστορία της ομάδας.

Παράλληλα, έχει καταφέρει να στεφθεί νικήτρια σε 24 διαφορετικούς αγώνες με πιο επιτυχημένο το απαιτητικό ράλι Ακρόπολις, στο οποίο μετρά 13 πρωτιές.




Η Ελλάδα επιτοπλήστον είναι μπλέ οβαλ αλλά και η ομάδα των αστεϊσμών έχει πολλούς θιασώτες.

gianni το έχεις διαβάσει αυτό πουθενά...;;; το απολύτως λογικό είναι αυτό .... και εγώ επιβεβαίωση ζήτησα.

Οταν ανακοινωθηκε η αποχωριση του κοντου εχω την εντυπωση πως ειπαν οτι ο δευτερος (για τοτε πιο πιθανος ηταν ο Neuville ) οτι θα βαθμολογειται αναλογα με το σε ποιους αγωνες θα συμμετεχει ο Loeb

M-SPORT’S FORD FIESTA R5 NEARS COMPLETION

With excitement building around M-Sport’s Ford Fiesta R5, the company is pleased to confirm that the project is nearing completion. With the all-new Fiesta due for public unveiling in January, M-Sport is seeing considerable interest with the first saleable model due to roll out of the workshop in April.

Despite harnessing the same expertise that launched the current crop of globally successful Ford Fiesta rally cars, the Fiesta R5 is in effect a completely new model. With 90 per cent of the Fiesta R5 differing from its RRC and RS WRC counterparts, the latest addition to Ford’s ‘Ladder of Opportunity’ will include a new transmission developed in conjunction with Sadev and a new engine – with a 32mm restrictor – developed in-house by M-Sport’s engineers.

Based on the 1.6 turbo Ford Fiesta ST road car, the Fiesta R5 will also boast a newly developed roll cage, fuel tank and electronics, not to mention a revised aero package to comply with R5 regulations. In an aim to reduce costs for the customer, the car has been designed with ease of use in mind and M-Sport has developed a new generation of rally car which can be easily managed and maintained by teams around the globe.

The Fiesta R5 provides the perfect transition from 2WD to 4WD competition and is the ideal model for those competitors who are keen to progress. With deposits already being placed for the first batch of Fiesta R5s, those wishing to receive more information should register their interest with M-Sport’s Customer Liaison Manager, Richard Millener (rmillener@m-sport.co.uk).

M-Sport Managing Director, Malcolm Wilson OBE, said:

“Our engineering department is working flat-out developing the [Ford] Fiesta R5 and the first car is due to be tested in the coming weeks. We have had a lot of interest in this model and it is set to be one of the most popular rally cars in the Fiesta family. Needless to say we are all looking forward to launching the [Fiesta] R5 in January.”

Opel returns to motor sport

Opel is returning to motor racing in the form of an internationally oriented rally program with the new Opel ADAM and a circuit for the new Astra OPC that focusses on Germany. "These new motorsports activities play an important role in the strategic re-alignment of the company; they are a fundamental element of our brand profile," says Dr. Thomas Sedran, Opel’s Deputy CEO. Especially in grassroots, popular sports, the Ruesselsheim carmaker can look back on a long and successful tradition. The aim of the company is to create a new competition that appeals to customers which is both technically sophisticated and reasonably priced, while at the same time providing a platform for young ambitious drivers to continuously develop their talent.

Rally: Professional talent development in cooperation with the ADAC

With its commitment to rally sports, Opel has the European stage now in its sights. After all, beyond the core market of Germany, there is a strong interest in rallying in all of the key European markets of the brand. Moreover, the World Motor Sport Authority FIA also has fixed regulations that provide entry points and advancement opportunities for young drivers. A rally cup version of the new Opel ADAM, which has been closely specified to FIA R2 standards, will be used in the 2013 season. As part of the "ADAC Rally Masters” race series these customer cars will compete in a branded cup (" ADAC Opel Rally Cup "). The allure of the competition is also increased by the fact that the most successful drivers can expect to win cash prizes. In addition, there is a special "junior rally" points system for drivers younger than 27 years. The overall winner of a set of final trials will get special coaching in the next season.

[color=#FFFF00As a strong partner Opel was able to gain an ally in the ADAC that shares an almost identical vision for new talent development. Above all, the ADAC uses its organizational and motorsport infrastructure for the common project. Opel's strategy has been devised to last initially until 2016. After that a modular development program has been envisaged where talented rally drivers can graduate from the “ADAC Opel Rally Cup” to an international level. In the first two of four stages, the ADAM will be employed. I]n stages three and four the next generation Opel Corsa is expected to be the rally vehicle.[/color]

Circuit: “Astra OPC Cup” part of the VLN endurance championships

The automotive element of Opel’s involvement on the circuit is the new Astra OPC. It is being made available from the 2013 season onwards as a racing version for customer sports. The Cup cars are engineered to match the "VLN Endurance Championship" standards which are the most popular grass roots racing series in Europe. The cars will also compete in a brand trophy in their own class ("Astra OPC Cup"). The highlight of the season is expected to be a 24-hour race on the Nuerburgring race track.

An especially attractive benefits package is being offered for private competitors, which is not limited to top performance and affordable cutting edge racing technology. In addition to the rally project, there is a pot of money with attractive cash prizes. Additionally, customers benefit from competitively priced spare parts as well as technical and organizational support on and off the race track.

Motor sports history: Opel creates milestones

The most succesful era of the company’s rally history began in the mid-seventies. It was quite literally “driven” by the German driver, Walter Roehrl, one of the all-time top rally pilots. During his time with Opel, he and his Ascona A won the European championship title in 1974 and again in with the Ascona B in 1979. The crowning glory of the Regensburg man’s era was his world championship title in 1982. He achieved this with his legendary Ascona 400. Opel is just as at home on the racing circuit. In grass root touring cars competitions, the brand with the famous lightening logo achieved countless successes on its home turf, the northern loop of the Nuerburgring race track. From 1993 onwards Manuel Reuter became a favorite with the fan community thanks to his Calibra V6 that competed professionally. He first drove it in the DTM competition and eventually won a title in the subsequent ITC series. Further highlights included the car makers’ championship of the DTM/ITC in 1998 in the STW series with the help of his Vectra. Overall victory in the 24-hour Nuerburgring race 2003 was achieved with an Astra V8 coupe.

Διάβασα μόλις τώρα σε εάν γαλλικό site ότι το Adam R2 θα κοστίζει 25000 €. Μάλλον η τιμή αυτή είναι για το R2 Kit.

Αρχικά το 2013 θα βγει με έναν κινητήρα γύρω στα 145 άλογα, έπειτα το 2014 θα βγάλουν βελτιώμενη έκδοση R2 με 190.

To 2015-2016 θα εξελίξουνOpel Corsa R3 και Opel Corsa R5 το οποίο θα οδηγούν οι νικητές των cup με το Adam.

Το adam ειχα δει οτι θα βγει opc με 192 1,6Τ.
Τωρα με τι μοτερ θα ειναι to R2 δεν κατεω αφου αμα ηταν το 1,6Τ θα πηγεναι στην R3T.

Following approval by the members of the World Motor Sport Council at September’s meeting, amendments have been made to the 2013 FIA World Rally Championship Sporting Regulations as part of a cost-reduction process and to attract greater entries. A summary of the World Rally Championship and the revised structure of the support Championships follows:

FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers and Co-drivers

    Registration: No registration required (any driver entered in a WRC event)

    Eligible cars: Any FIA homologated car

    Event commitment: None

    Scoring method: All scores count

FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers

    Registration: Registration by 14 December 2012 (manufacturers)

    Registration before the closing date of entries of the seventh round of the season (WRC Teams)

    Eligible cars: World Rally Cars

    Event commitment: All events with a two-car team (manufacturers)

    Seven events, including one outside Europe, with a one or two-car team (WRC Teams)

    Scoring method: All scores count from two nominated cars (manufacturers)

    Seven events score from a maximum of two nominated cars per team (WRC Teams)


SUPPORT CHAMPIONSHIPS

    In 2013, each round of the FIA World Rally Championship will qualify for the FIA WRC 2 and WRC 3 Championships. When entering an event, drivers and team entrants are required to specify whether they wish to nominate the event as a points-scoring round. Team entrants are permitted up to two cars per team.

FIA WRC 2 Championship for Drivers, Co-drivers and Team Entrants

    Registration: Registration to the FIA before the closing date of entries of the first nominated round

    Eligible cars: 4WD cars only (R5, R4, S2000, N4)

    Event commitment: Seven events during the season (no penalty for missing events)

    Scoring method: The best six results count from the first seven rounds nominated. Minimum of one nominated event to be classified in the WRC 2
    An FIA Production Car Cup will be awarded to the driver and co-driver representing a registered entrant in WRC 2 who is driving a Group N4 (Class 3) car.

FIA WRC 3 Championship for Drivers, Co-drivers and Team Entrants

    Registration: Registration to the FIA before the closing date of entries of the first nominated event

    Eligible cars: 2WD cars only (R3, R2, R1)

    Event commitment: Six events during the season (no penalty for missing events)

    Scoring method: The best five results count from the first six rounds nominated. Minimum of one nominated event to be classified in the WRC 3

FIA Junior WRC Championship for Drivers and Co-drivers

    Registration: Registered drivers under the age of 26

    Eligible cars: R2 cars from an FIA-specified single-make supplier

    Event commitment: Six events

    Scoring method: All scores count

An overview of the technical specification of the cars follows:


WORLD RALLY CARS

    Engine: 4 cylinders - turbo-charged petrol engine (up to 1.6 litre)

    Injection: Direct injection engine

    Turbo restrictor size: Maximum diameter = 33mm

    Boost: Maximum turbo pressure = 2.5b absolute

    Minimum weight: 1200kg

    Transmission: 4-wheel drive / sequential gearbox / without centre differential

    WRC kits: Specific WRC kits for bodywork (front bumper / aerodynamic device) / windows / brakes / engine flywheel

    Maximum width: 1820mm (specific front and rear bumpers / front and rear fenders are homologated)

    Rims: Tarmac rallies = 18”

    Gravel rallies = 15”

    Modifications: WRC cars are issued from a Super 2000-Rally (1.6L turbo)


SUPER 2000-Rally (1.6 litre turbo)

    Engine: 4 cylinders - turbo-charged petrol engine (up to 1.6 litre)

    Injection: Direct injection engine

    Turbo restrictor size: Maximum diameter = 30mm

    Boost: Maximum turbo pressure = 2.5b absolute

    Minimum weight: 1200kg

    Transmission: 4-wheel drive / sequential gearbox / without centre differential

    Maximum width: 1820mm (specific front and rear bumpers / front and rear fenders are homologated)

    Rims: Tarmac rallies = 18”

    Gravel rallies = 15”

    Modifications: S2000-Rally cars may be issued from a standard production 2WD car and converted to 4WD


SUPER 2000-Rally (2 litre)

    Engine: 4 cylinders - normally aspirated petrol engine (less than 2 litre)

    Injection: multi-point injection / homologated

    Throttle body: Maximum 64.25mm

    Minimum weight: 1200kg

    Transmission: 4-wheel drive / sequential gearbox / without centre differential

    Maximum width: 1820mm (specific front and rear bumpers / front and rear fenders are homologated)

    Rims: Tarmac rallies = 18”

    Gravel rallies = 15”

    Modifications: S2000-Rally cars may be issued from a standard production 2WD car and converted to 4WD


GROUP R5

    This is a new category for 2013 and is intended to be the FIA’s leading and affordable category for 4WD cars below World Rally Cars.

    Engine: 4 cylinders - turbo-charged petrol engine (up to 1620cc)

    Turbo restrictor size: Maximum diameter = 32mm (TBC)

    Boost: Maximum turbo pressure = 2.5b absolute (TBC)

    Minimum weight: 1200kg

    Transmission: 4-wheel drive / sequential gearbox / without centre differential

    Maximum width: 1820mm (specific front and rear bumpers / front and rear fenders are homologated)

    Rims: Tarmac rallies = 18”

    Gravel rallies = 15”

    Modifications: R5 cars may be issued from a standard production 2WD car and converted to 4WD


GROUP R4

    Engine: Turbo-charged petrol engine (corrected cylinder capacity greater than 2 litre)

    Injection: Original (Group N)

    Turbo restrictor size: Maximum diameter = 33mm

    Minimum weight: 1300kg

    Transmission: 4-wheel drive issued from a standard production car

    Maximum width: Standard production

    Rims: Tarmac rallies = 18”

    Gravel rallies = 15”

    Modifications: R4 cars are issued from Group N cars with specific suspension and light-weight homologated components


GROUP R3

    Engine: Normally aspirated petrol engine, Group R3C - 1.6 litre-2 litre

    Turbo-charged diesel up to 2.0 litre (R3D) or petrol engine up to 1.6 litre (R3T)

    Injection: multi-point injection / homologated

    Turbo restrictor size: R3D: Maximum diameter = 32mm

    R3T: Maximum diameter = 29mm

    Minimum weight: R3D: 1150kg

    R3T: 1080kg

    Transmission: 2-wheel drive (front or rear) / homologated gearbox (may be sequential)

    Maximum width: Standard production

    Rims: Tarmac rallies = 17”

    Gravel rallies = 15”

    Modifications: The cars must be strictly series production models with some permitted modifications


GROUP R2

    Engine: Normally aspirated petrol engine

    Group R2B - 1.6 litre-2 litre

    Injection: Multi-point injection / homologated

    Minimum weight: 1030kg (R2B)

    Transmission: 2-wheel drive (front or rear) / homologated gearbox (may be sequential)

    Maximum width: Standard production

    Rims: Tarmac rallies = 16”

    Gravel rallies = 15”

    Modifications: The cars must be strictly series production models with some permitted modifications


GROUP R1

    Engine: Normally aspirated petrol engine

    Group R1B - 1.4 litre-1.6 litre

    Injection: Standard production

    Minimum weight: 1030kg (R1B)

    Transmission: 2-wheel drive (front or rear) / standard production gearbox

    Maximum width: Standard production

    Rims: Tarmac rallies = 16”

    Gravel rallies = 15”

    Modifications: The cars must be strictly series production models

Τις τελευταίες ώρες ακούγεται η φήμη και πολλοί μάλιστα αναφέρουν πως απομένει μόνο η επίσημη ανακοίνωση πως στο ερχόμενο παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα η M Sport θα απαρτίζεται απο τους Mads Ostberg, Thierry Neuville και Nasser Al Attiyah με τον τελευταίο να ακολουθεί 7 γύρους του θεσμού.

To θεωρώ λογικό μιας και οι δυο πιτσιρικάδες έχουν αρκετούς χορηγούς και ο Nasser αρκετό κεφάλαιο.

Δώστε τόπο στα νιάτα λοιπόν ...... Που ξέρεις τώρα που σφίξανε οι κ@λοι μήπως γίνει τίποτα .....
