Colin McRae Erc Flat Out Trophy goes to Breen in Switzerland

Craig Breen said he hoped his performance on round 10 of the FIA European Rally Championship lived up to the spirit of rallying legend Colin McRae after he received the prestigious Colin McRae ERC Flat Out Trophy for his exploits in Switzerland.
Co-driven by Scott Martin in a Peugeot Rally Academy 208T16, Breen was fastest on nine stages and fought back from 20th to second following a stage-three puncture.
“It’s a big, big pleasure,” Breen said upon accepting the award from ERC Sporting Manager Jean-Pierre Nicolas in Sion this evening. “I’ve had a very difficult six or seven months since the Acropolis Rally so to have finally arrived back here at the finish on the podium is fantastic and to receive this trophy is a big reward for me after a fantastic weekend. We’ve shown some good speed and I’d like to think in the spirit of the man himself.”
